About Maryam Kazi

My view of the function of counseling is as a journey of self-exploration by the client, meant to increase their level of self-understanding and self-awareness.  I am not an expert on the client’s life who effortlessly dispenses advice to the client on what they should be thinking, feeling, and doing.  As a therapist, I act as the guide or facilitator of this journey of self exploration.

I have been practicing therapy for over ten years and have experience with trauma, grief, anxiety and depression.  I have an integrative approach combining cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and solution focused therapy. My hope is to join with my clients to form goals that they want to work on and we start on the journey together.
